Born in 1981, Leningrad. Graduate from the St. Petersburg Classical Gymnasium. In 2003 he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University (Finno-Ugric department).
In 2005–2006 – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Time Out St. Petersburg magazine. Since 2006 – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the magazine "Seance". Winner of the Levitin Award from the Film Scholars and Film Critics Guild of Russia (2007). Member of the editorial board of the publishing house "Seance".
Since 2020 – editor-in-chief of the magazine "Seance".
