Drillalians. Episode III: Aleksey Syumak
Сверлийцы. Эпизод III: Алексей Сюмак
An opera series based on Boris Yukhananov's novel of the same name about the fantastical Sverlia—a country existing parallel to Earth's reality and simultaneously inhabiting three time periods: past, present, and future.
The main symbol of this civilization is a drill. Paths are laid between Sverlia and Earth: for example, one portal to this fantastical reality is Venice, the other is St. Petersburg.
In the third part, we witness the birth of the Sverlia Prince, who must confront the Lacemaker, the goddess of fate, one in many faces. The Last Drill, the Prince's avatar, meets her on the street in the form of a young woman. Partially animated films depict the ritual of the Drill.
