About

A young lawyer named Dorant comes to work in the house of a rich widow, Araminta. He is poor, but handsome and determined to win the woman's heart. Dorant's uncle, unaware of the young man's desires, wants to marry him to another girl. And Araminta's mother dreams of marrying her daughter off to an aristocrat.
